World Water Day–March 22, 2018 Recap

Each one of us will use approximately 100 gallons of water each day, even though only one percent of water is suitable for human consumption and agriculture. The University of Georgia Cooperative Extention offers resources for those who desire to reduce their footprint on not only Georgia’s water resources but the world’s as well.

A few simple tips to follow daily:

  • Fix leaks
  • Reduce shower time; turn off the faucet when you brush your teeth
  • Look for approved Energy Star washers to save up to 10 gallons of water per laundry cycle
  • Use dishwashers more than hand-washing dishes
